Steve Holmes Joins SWP Team
We’re incredibly excited to announce that Steve Holmes has joined the SWP Team as our Business Development Manager.
Based in Sheffield, Steve takes over our Northern territory from Lauson Higgins. With a background in technical sales in both plastics and other products, we’re confident that Steve will serve our customers well with both his enthusiasm, locality and knowledge.
“SWP were one of the only companies I’d have joined. Chris and the team have proven over the years that SWP are the market leaders in thermoplastic sheet, predominantly in the retail POS markets and print markets where I learned my trade so it was a no brainer when they asked me to join.
Working for a company whose ethics are customer orientated and only work with the best quality materials is important because I can sell our product safe in knowledge that when I say “you can have cut to size plastic sheet next day” to a customer, I know that it’s true – that can’t be said for a lot of companies.
It’s also a sign of the strength and stability of the company, when they’re making additions to their team, when there’s so much instability in the UK with companies folding or making redundancies.
I look forward to working with the team, our customers and our long term supplier partners for years to come”
Lauson Higgins remains Business Development Manager – Midlands.
In reaction to the news, Lauson said:
“Covering the Midlands and North since 2012 has proven to be a challenge for sure!
Most will agree that the heart of the UK POS market is in the Midlands so it’s great that I can finally spend more time in Leicester and Birmingham to concentrate on our customers who have been fantastic to me over the years – plus it means I don’t have to drive to Newcastle on a Monday morning anymore!
Naturally there’ll be a handover period, but having worked with Steve for only a couple of weeks, I can already tell that he completely understands the fabrication, direct to substrate print and thermoforming markets so our customers are in safe hands.”
